We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Anna Piñol to Partner at NFX.

Anna joined NFX over two years ago as Principal, but we’ve known her much longer than that. We first met back in 2019: Anna had recently graduated from Stanford GSB and was going through Y Combinator with her company Jupiter, and had previously been part of Amazon’s early Marketplace team. We were fortunate to lead her Seed round alongside Khosla Ventures, and were even more fortunate years later when she joined NFX’s investment team.

In her time at NFX, Anna has become known for her authentic, founder-first approach. She deeply aligns with the visions of pre-seed and seed-stage entrepreneurs, bringing both her operational expertise and her diverse, talented network to the table on their behalf. Anna has also made significant contributions running our NFX Fellows programs and FAST initiatives, expanding NFX’s relationships with the world’s next best founders.

Having moved to the US from Spain eight years ago, Anna’s own journey as an immigrant-founder underlies her core belief that running a startup is as much about personal transformation as it is about company building. She has a global outlook and encourages her international network to come spend time in San Francisco, specifically in Cerebral Valley to experience the energy of the AI zeitgeist. She is especially focused on AI applications transforming SaaS (the AI workforce), marketplaces, and fintech – and also has a keen interest in the next wave of consumer companies.

As we celebrate Anna’s well-deserved promotion, we recognize her as a key part of NFX’s exciting growth as we’ve transformed the firm from a startup ourselves into a center of gravity for the San Francisco startup community and beyond.

Anna’s genuineness, founder-first philosophy, and her experience with global markets and networks are integral to her role as Partner at NFX, where together we champion the next generation of groundbreaking companies.
