Valerie Osband Mahoney is a Principal at NFX. With extensive experience as an operator at all stages of company growth—from ideating early product prototypes, to scaling companies toward IPO, to managing large teams at public companies - she understands the multitude of complexities and challenges businesses face as they grow.

Prior to becoming an investor, Valerie held product roles across three continents. She led product teams for technical infrastructure, commerce, and growth at Cash App in the US, was an early employee at Funding Circle through to its IPO (backed by Index, USV, Accel, and Ribbit) in the UK, and drove the development of new product verticals at SumUp as it rapidly scaled growth (backed by Bain Capital, Goldman) in Brazil.
